ITALIAN STAR CARS FOR THE STARS OF THE BIG SCREEN: THE FIAT GROUP HITS CANNES

Just like films, cars are often designed to thrill, but in some cases can also help tackle serious issues. This is why Alfa Romeo and “Cinema against AIDS� are coming together for a special evening event at the “Moulins de Mougins�, with a stunning Alfa GT set to take centre stage.
Tonight the ace sporty coupé – which encapsulates Alfa Romeo’s heritage of motoring excellence, in a range characterised by the elegance and taste of the Italian design school – will be auctioned by Sharon Stone and Lapo Elkann, in front of an audience of over 400 international stars of the film world, fashion and photography.
The proceeds will go to AMFAR and the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which organised the event, and which are at the forefront in the struggle against this serious global issue.
The elegance of Italian motoring style will also be featuring on the “Croisette� at Cannes: Sharon Stone has chosen to use a Maserati Quattroporte to get to all her official engagements. The design and temperament of the Trident’s leading car are an ideal reflection of the American actress’s personality.
And as well as the Maserati, Sharon Stone will also have the use of a Fiat Croma, the innovative super Station Wagon set to make its debut throughout Europe at the end of the month.
