Team Orange Announces ENEOS Oil Sponsorship for 2007 D1 GP USA Series

Team Orange had an excellent start of the 2007 D1 Grand Prix USA series last weekend at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey. Team driver Nobushige Kumakubo won the first place and team driver Kazuhiro Tanaka qualified to the best 16. Both drivers fascinated the east coast crowd with their notoriously acrobatic and entertaining drifting style, which has already been attracting thousands of fans all over the world.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. Still Ranked as #1 American Drifter in the World!!

Saturday December 16th was the D1GP Championship. The last big event of the 06 season. A serious rain downpour for most of the day seemed as if it would put a damper on things. However after the warm up practice prior to qualifying, it was clear that all drivers were not letting up even after the slick conditions. JR jumped out on the track and started to do his thing. He was the only driver smoking tires in the rain, which shows his skill and aggressiveness with a no stopping attitude. The fans loved it, and knew that they where in for a treat!

New track conditions posed very little issues for 2005 Formula D Champion Rhys Millen as he competed on the abrasive turf and challenging course taking third place in the winner’s circle at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA, on Aug. 19. Relying on the extreme grip of his Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R tires to withstand the harsh conditions of the track; Millen advanced ahead of all drift contenders into position as point’s leader for the series. This marks the fourth podium win of the 2006 series for both Rhys Millen and Bridgestone.

Formula D Drifting - Round 2, May 13 Road Atlanta

Defending series champ Rhys Millen heads to Atlanta in second place in the drivers standings after finishing in that spot at the season opener in his Pontiac GTO Drift car.
