Ferraris Take Over Sonoma Road Course during Ferrari Challenge Weekend, May 2-4
SONOMA, Calif. (April 30, 2008)
The North American Ferrari Challenge Series makes its way to the West Coast for its third race of the 2008 season, May 2-4, at Infineon Raceway. Weekend festivities will include racing in the 430 Challenge class and the Shell Historic division.

The work undertaken by Peugeot Sport throughout the winter on the Spider THP cars has paid off. The cars are not only quicker by two seconds per lap, but they are also even more fun to drive. In total, 13 cars lined up on the grid for the first race of the season at Monza. The reigning champion Dino Lunardi won the race in front of Julien Beltoise and Englishman Simon Moulton.

AMERICAN LE MANS SERIES ANNOUNCES LONG BEACH EXTENSION THROUGH 2013
The American Le Mans Series and the Grand Prix of Long Beach announced a five-year extension Friday.
The American Le Mans Series and the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach today announced an extension to keep the world's premier sports car series racing at one of the world's most iconic street circuits. The Series competes this weekend in the Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series at Long Beach for the second consecutive season. The extension will allow southern California fans to enjoy the cars and stars of the American Le Mans Series through 2013.

Jacques Villeneuve signs up with Speedcar Series
Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve will race with Speedcar in the last two rounds of the Series' inaugural season. He will take to the grid for the upcoming race at the Bahrain Grand Prix on April 4-6 followed by the final round in Dubai a week later on April 11-12.

Jean Alesi won a spectacular Speedcar race at Sepang on Saturday morning as the championship supported a Grand Prix for the first time. Many big names from the F1 world paid close attention to the action as Alesi won a race-long battle with his old friend and sometime Sauber team mate Johnny Hebert, finally getting the better of the Englishman on the last lap.

Alesi finds his form in Sentul
Jean Alesi charged to his maiden Speedcar Series victory at Sentul, Indonesia today.
The former grand prix winner only qualified eighth, but he stormed through the pack to hit front before half distance. Once in front he controlled the race and maintained a safe gap back to Mattias Lauda in second.
