Five Consecutive Final Rounds and the Points Lead for Krawiec

In an all-Harley final round, Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Andrew Hines prevailed over Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines teammate Eddie Krawiec to win the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle eliminations at Summit Motorsports Park. It was the first event win for Hines since May 4, 2008 in Madison, Ill. Krawiec, the defending Pro Stock Motorcycle champion, rode his Harley-Davidson V-Rod to a fifth-consecutive final-round appearance and now leads the series by 70 points.

Gann Earns First-Round Win at Norwalk

Four-time Nationals event winner falls to McBride in quarterfinals

After two consecutive first-round exits, Shawn Gann needed a win and got one Sunday in the first round of the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Racing Park in Norwalk. The North Carolina native beat Steve Johnson to kick off the NHRA Full Throttle Series Pro Stock Motorcycle class eliminations Sunday thanks to a .013 reaction time and the kind of consistent run the XTreme Rebellion/RumBum Buell team has seen all season.

SMITH QUALIFIES NITRO FISH SUZUKI IN FIFTH IN NORWALK

Matt Smith rode the Nitro Fish Ultimate Gear Suzuki Pro Stock Motorcycle into the No. 5 spot in the final of four qualifying sessions for the NHRA Nationals at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park today, posting his quickest pass of the weekend of 7.058 seconds at 188.91 mph.

Gann Ninth After Friday Qualifying in Norwalk

XTreme Rebellion/RumBum Buell faster in Q2

After two rounds of qualifying in the NHRA Full Throttle Series Pro Stock Motorcycle class Friday at Summit Motorsports Park, four-time Nationals event winner Shawn Gann is locked into the field for Sunday’s Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals with a ninth-place effort. Gann and his XTreme Rebellion/RumBum Buell ran a 7.162 at 184.72 mph in the first round and were able to improve his ET in Q2 with a 7.113 and a speed of 187.13 mph.

After back-to-back first-round exits, four-time winner ready for luck to change

After opening the 2009 NHRA Full Throttle Series Pro Stock Motorcycle season with a trip to the semifinals in Gainesville, Shawn Gann and the XTreme Rebellion/RumBum team thought it was going to be a career season. While the team has made positive stride with its Buell this year, back-to-back first-round losses in Joliet and Englishtown has Gann sitting ninth in the standings, a single point behind Steve Johnson.

North Carolina native won Englishtown as top-qualifier in 2003

In 2003 at Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J., Shawn Gann took home his second Wally after winning the NHRA Full Throttle Series Pro Stock Motorcycle class from the top-qualifier position, beating Craig Treble. When the series returns to the facility this weekend, Gann and his XTreme Rebellion/RumBum team can think of no better place to make his long-awaited return to the Winner’s Circle.

A positive weekend for XTreme Rebellion/RumBum crew despite loss in Joliet

Shawn Gann knew facing Steve Johnson in the first round of the NHRA Full Throttle Series Pro Stock Motorcycle eliminations at the United Association Route 66 NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway was going to be challenge. What he didn’t know was that Johnson was going to have some help courtesy of an engine gremlin on Gann’s XTreme Rebellion/RumBum Buell.
